I have been there many times. The food is always GREAT. The service is fast and friendly. The specials are always good. On a scale from 1 to 10, I give it a 9.8. It is just like eating in Littly Italy in Newerk, NJ

My husband and I decided to give it a spin and we're very pleased that we did. This is a CASUAL Italian restaurant with traditional italian fare. If you're looking for new and exotic creations you won't find them here. However, if you're in the mood for traditional home cooked meals, this is your place. Their meat sauce is phenominal, I greatly enjoyed my chicken piccata and my husband was ecstatic about his chicken parm. I had sticker shock when we looked at the menu. But there are budget friendly options in the pasta realm. We ordered some of those pricier items and basically got 3 meals each out of them so when you look at it that way, its a steal! Everyone raves about their pizza so we plan on trying that next time!

It's been a couple of hours since dinner, and I have enough garlic coursing through my veins to qualify me as some kind of superhero. We are down this way maybe once a year, and Vincent's has been one of those regular stops during every trip. The exterior might not beckon, and the interior might slightly frighten, but the food is ridiculous. The garlic knots/rolls are about as good as they come. Fresh out of the oven, with enough chopped, sauteed garlic and olive oil to confer temporary Italian citizenship. Portion size on the salad was huge, and the calamari were well cooked and nicely seasoned. The Vesuvio Special pizza is a white pie with spinach, feta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and fresh tomatoes. Really, really, really good. Our server was outstanding. Thought about stuff we hadn't and offered a number of great suggestions. Only qualm was that the linguine and clams were a bit oily.

Always good food. My husband and I have been going here for years. We went today for lunch and it's always consistent! Try the Vesuvio special if you love that type of pizza. One word, Amazing!

This is an older Italian restaurant that appears to have been around for a long time. The food is very good, price is reasonable, and portions are huge!! All entries come with a house salad and garlic knots. Every time we go, I end up bringing half my food home as the portions are a good size. I have also tried the pizza and was impressed. Pizza was very good, but their entries are hard to pass up. The baked spaghetti is really good!

Great food...good prices...been here a couple times and have never been disappointed....this time of year try the pumpkin cheesecake....amazing...just a nice place with good food....I didn't give 5 stars only because there are very few things that are as good as it gets :)......

Vincent's is a good place to eat. Priced right and a good value. Good pasta dishes & great pizza. The place can accomidate large party's and is a big place so getting in is most always easy.

Excellent veal parm (super tender) and very tasty meat sauce. The calamari, however, were rubbery. The zinfandel vinaigrette for the salad is delicious.

Love Vincent's, it's "old school" Family Italian establishment decor and vibe Meatballs and meat sauce are really good, good salads, Garlic Rolls are addictive. Never have had a bad meal, or anything but good service. Our leftovers were good for two more meals at home !!!

It started out great, nice hostess, waitress. The wine was fine, salad and garlic knots were quite tasty but the entrees were a disaster! Eggplant Parmesan with a gigantic side of angel hair pasta on one plate including a huge big blob of cheese on top of my mushy gross tasteless eggplant with bland sauce . I hate to even think about it again...I took 2 bites and Done! To go container for that she asks..ahhahaha The atmosphere- (what atmosphere?) is out of a bad 70's diner ok however with that in mind when you start looking around, the vents are filthy as the decorations, etc. like they have never cleaned this place since 1970 and I wonder what the kitchen looks like? Scraping that thought from my brain ;( This place should be on the show Robert Irvine and his Restaurant Impossible team - I'm not kidding. Would we go back or recommend? NO!

Are you 71 yrs old or from the Midwest? If so, this place might be for you. At least it will help to have no idea what good Italian food can taste like, or be so concerned with saving a buck that the lunch special might mitigate your expectations. The bad Our experience last night was worse than our first visit a month ago. The chalk board said "We have Real Sangria" but the waitress admitted it was from a bottle. Drinks took too long to reach the table (in wine glasses from the Fisher-Price collection). The Greek salad included ham and the request to put dressing on the side was ignored. The pasta fagioli was an overcooked bland stew. The angle hair pasta was overcooked. The rigatoni was overcooked. The meatballs were overcooked. They clearly forgot to submit one order, lied to us about it being only one more minute away, delivered it when most of us were done eating, and when we complained about it, the owner/manager came to the table to assure us it wasn't the waitresses fault. She did not offer to comp the item, to give a free dessert, to reprimand the cook, to give us a coupon or gift certificate for next time -- or even apologize. She just wanted to make sure her waitress didn't get stiffed (she wasn't: I tipped 18%, which is as low as I will go). The good Their pizza isn't bad. If you live in Apopka or Mount Dora you don't have many choices, anyway, so you may as well make the 20 minute drive. The garlic rolls are passable. Ultimately, I will not be back. I will continue to wish for a good Italian restaurant that makes things from scratch (I saw too many Sysco labels to believe they make much themselves) near Apopka to spring up.

This is old school Italian that will throw you back into the 70's when decent Italian restaurants were judged by their sauce, their meatballs, and their pizza and all dinners always came with salad and bread. The baked Ziti was very good and the garlic rolls quite tasty especially when I ordered them wet. I doubt I will be appreciated at work tomorrow. The stuffed shells my lady had were to her liking. They serve coke products in a big glass. Will be back anytime I am in the area. I find it odd that not a single old school italian place exists like this in the Orlando metropolitan area. No wonder Orlandonians think that the Olive Garden is the end all. Two thumbs up from Siskel and Ebert.

At times the food can be very good. But other times it'd ordinary. My favorite things to order are the meatball sub, sausage pizza and the eggplant pizza. I want to love this place but it lacks consistency.

First let me say "I LOVE family-owned Italian restaurants"! From the old school decor to the roomy booth I felt comfortable to sit, talk and enjoy the meal. Normally I only get pepperoni and maybe spinach in my calzone but since I'm on vacation visiting family I decided to get the calzone exactly as listed on the menu. Great choice! The crust wasn't too thick, the ricotta & mozzarella cheese mixture was just the way I like, and they brought a generous amount of meat sauce on the side. You will have plenty to take home for left-overs. The mushroom ravioli looked delicious and again the portion size ensured there would be enough to take home. The homemade blue cheese salad dressing was thick and chunky for my side salad that included onions, olives and I believe banana peppers. The deluxe pizza was also ordered and you get to pick the toppings which was nice instead of the usual deluxe toppings being pre-determined. I didn't have the plain cheesecake for dessert but saw it in the display case and it had a graham cracker crust. I wish I had saved room for dessert but the calzone filled me up. Our server was very accommodating and didn't make us feel rushed or an imposition when I had questions about the calzone. I live in a suburb of Atlanta and have had some awful calzones so I wanted to have some questions answered before I decided to order it. The final item I want to mention is that they serve Coke which always ensures good food to follow. Yes I'm biased because I'm from metro Atlanta!

I'm a local and I can tell you straight that if you want decent Italian or great pizza - go to Vincent's. Don't do the chains, don't do Pizza Amore. Go straight to Vincent's. Their pasta are wonderful- the spaghetti w/ meatballs is incredibly fresh, homemade and plentiful. It's a restaurant where they still make the sauces from scratch, the garlic rolls from pizza dough, olive oil and garlic and the salads with olives and crisp tomatoes. It's all fresh and homemade. Service is not the quickest, but the food makes up for the long lapses in waitress visits. Located on 441, you'll think it's a tourist stop, but you'll find it is a regular for locals too.

We have passed this restaurant for years but never took the time to come back by for dinner - we were missing out! This is a very friendly, very comfy, very casual night out. The food was very good ( not five star) but we had no complaints! I had read one bad review on this place on the way in and I was a little nervous.... The review was either old or way wrong. This place is clean and welcoming! I will definitely come back!

I can't believe I've never written a review of this place. Let me make it simple, DON"T GO. My wife's family loves this place, but they also eat juicy spaghetti (Noodles with canned tomato soup and bacon). Let me boil this down in two words. HOT BRUSCHETTA. Is that good enough? I'm not joking. Two buttered hot dog buns with hot tomatoes, and they called it bruschetta. They have an almost good garlic knot, and that is honestly the only thing I would eat from there. I have no idea what cat food tastes like, but you know how it smells... well that's how their meat sauce tastes. This place is awful!. Like I said, my wife's family loves it, so I've attempted several times, and I can't even eat the subs. That's bad. I do not go here anymore at all. Family gatherings, and I stay home to strip paint. I saw someone said MCD is down the road, go there for your own sanity. I have literally never met anyone outside of my wife's family that liked this place. Really bad food. Side note: notice that everyone who likes it mentions the garlic knots. Seriously, it's the only thing eatable here, and they aren't even that good. You can literally get them at every pizza place on the planet.

Very good food - garlic rolls are AMAZING! The staff - hands down, the greatest. We left and found ourselves stranded with a dead battery. I went inside and asked if anyone had cables. 2 employees worked their asses off to make sure my sis's battery started. Since it's 90, sunny and muggy, we are eternally grateful we only had to stand in the hot parking lot 30 min. Xoxo Vincent's!!

Two words. GARLIC BREAD. OMG. We're talking perfect homemade buns with CHUNKS of garlic, drizzled in olive oil goodness. You run the real risk of ruining your meal eating too many! Everything here, including their delicious salad dressings, is made in house and is absolutely superb. I always order ranch dressing with my salad. It is creamy, rich in garlic and herbs... absolutely perfect. I grew up in upstate New York and ate authentic Italian food regularly thanks to my many Italian friends with Italian grandmothers who spoke only Italian and the multitude of excellent Italian eateries in Rochester. :D Since leaving NY, I could never find a restaurant that could compare. Until now that is. :) The eggplant parm is perfect. the chicken parm is perfect. the baked ziti is perfect. Nuf said.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
